A message from the creator, Jason Smith.

World War Two has been a recurring interest throughout my life. That interest has peaked and troughed throughout the years, intertwined with major life events, but I have always found myself rewatching the likes of The World at War or buying yet another WWII book.

In combination with my fascination with WW2, I have always enjoyed strategy games. It began with Risk, then Axis and Allies, before progressing to grand strategy games such as Hearts of Iron. The more realistic and complicated, the better.

As I moved into my busy adult years, I found myself looking for a WWII game that was easy to set up, learn, and play. It also needed to be challenging and varied enough, so no game was played the same. I couldn't find that game, and as a result, Cards & Command was born.

A special thanks to my wife and daughters for their support during the development process, and my father for his invaluable feedback throughout.
